Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about licensing, subscriptions, downloads, and contributing to RozStock.
Getting started
What is RozStock?
RozStock is a stock media marketplace for royalty-free photos, videos, music, sound effects, graphics, and video templates. Creators license content for personal and commercial projects; contributors publish work and earn from sales.
Do I need an account to browse?
You can browse freely. Creating a free account lets you save favorites, purchase licenses, manage downloads, and track your subscriptions.
What types of content can I find?
Photos, videos, music, sound effects, graphics, and video templates — with a focus on authentic cultural, geographic, and documentary storytelling alongside everyday creative needs.
Licensing & downloads
What is the difference between Regular and Extended licenses?
The Regular license covers most creative and commercial uses such as websites, social media, presentations, and advertising. The Extended license adds broader rights for merchandise, templates for resale, and use in commercial spaces. Always check the Content License Agreement for full terms.
Can I use content commercially?
Yes. Licensed content may be used in commercial projects according to the license you purchase. Editorial or restricted content, when marked as such, may have additional limits — review the asset details and license terms before use.
Do I own the content after I buy it?
No. You purchase a license to use the content under the license terms. Contributors retain copyright. You may not resell or redistribute the original files as stock assets.
How do I download files I have licensed?
After purchase or subscription download, files appear in your account under purchases or downloads. You can re-download licensed files from your dashboard at any time while your account is active.
Subscriptions
How do subscriptions work?
A subscription gives you a monthly download allowance for eligible assets. Unused downloads may roll over when auto-renew is enabled. See Pricing for current plans and limits.
What happens to unused downloads?
With an auto-renewing subscription, unused downloads typically roll over to the next month. If auto-renew is off when your term ends, accumulated downloads are lost.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account. You keep access to remaining downloads until the end of your current billing period.
Can I buy individual assets without a subscription?
Yes. Many assets can be licensed à la carte. Subscriptions are best when you need frequent downloads; one-time licenses work well for occasional projects.
Contributors
How do I become a contributor?
Apply through Become a Contributor, then upload your portfolio for review. Approved contributors can publish assets and earn from licenses sold on the platform.
How and when do contributors get paid?
Earnings are paid via your chosen method (such as PayPal or bank transfer) according to our Payment & Commission Policy. You do not need to request payment for each sale — payouts follow the policy schedule once thresholds are met.
Do I keep copyright of my work?
Yes. You retain copyright. Buyers receive a license to use your work; they do not own it. Non-exclusive contributors may also distribute the same work elsewhere.
Is exclusivity required?
No. You can contribute on a non-exclusive basis and share content on other platforms, subject to the Contributor Agreement and any exclusivity options you choose.
Account & support
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in page. We will email a reset link to the address on your account.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion from your account settings. After confirmation, your public profile and listings are removed. Buyers who already licensed your content can still download those purchases.
